When this generation of fighters comes to an end, these five will stand head and shoulders above the rest.

While some have done enough to merit Hall of Fame consideration, there is still plenty left for them to accomplish to be recognized as all-time greats.

Naoya Inoue

"The Monster" is perhaps the most destructive fighter the lower weight classes have ever seen. With 16 knockouts from 19 victories, Inoue has already won titles in three weight divisions and has just entered the prime of his career.

Now aligned with Top Rank and set to be a featured attraction in the United States, the best is yet to come for this force of nature.

Tyson Fury

It isn’t a stretch to say the heavyweight division has seen better days, but Fury has been the standout star of recent years. He ending the Wladimir Klitschko era and destroyed Deontay Wilder in their rematch.

A trilogy bout with Wilder looms, along with a mega bout with Anthony Joshua. Should Fury win both — and he should — he will be a deserving all-time great in the heavyweight division.

Vasyl Lomachenko

Lomachenko’s storied amateur career and incredible run as a professional makes him an easy entry on this list.

He won his first title in just his third fight, has conquered three divisions, and stands at the top of the pound-for-pound rankings.

From a technical standpoint, he’ll be remembered as one of the best, but the challenges that will make or break his claim to greatness await, against the young lions of the lightweight division.

Terence Crawford

Like Marvin Hagler before him, Crawford has laid waste to those brave enough to face him, as he holds out for his long deserved super fight.

With titles from lightweight to welterweight, all while he has remained undefeated, Crawford’s fluid style and killer instinct are uncommon in this era.

Whether it is Manny Pacquiao or Errol Spence who finally steps up to face this killer, Crawford will not think twice to viciously deliver a career-defining win.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez

Unlike the other fighters on this list, Canelo is well on his way to becoming an all-time great. Already the biggest star in boxing, Canelo’s run has seen him decimate future Hall of Famers and dangerous contemporaries.

Nobody has compiled as deep of a résumé as Alvarez, and he often seeks out the best fights to define his legacy.

The spotlight is on him in the prime of his career, and he improves every time he steps into the ring. Canelo is actively contributing to what will be remembered as a legendary career.
