The first big heavyweight fight of 2021 takes place this Saturday, March 27 when Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin face off in their highly anticipated rematch.

Povetkin’s stony fists and methodical style ensures he’s far from done. However, the 41-year-old was looking every bit his age and severely outmatched before he drilled Whyte.

He is still dangerous, but the likelihood is that he may have landed the last great punch of his career in the previous fight. Unless Whyte shows him no respect and recklessly charges towards him, he’s going to struggle.

If Whyte starts off like he did in the first fight, he can just step off the gas to avoid another critical error. He has the reach, size, and speed to steer clear of Povetkin’s big shots.

Povetkin’s best chance lies in forcing Whyte to keep the fight in close quarters, giving him the best chance to land short, devastating punches. However, he barely withstood Whyte’s early barrage, and he just doesn’t have the legs to walk him down in the later rounds.
