College Football Futures Betting

Getting early odds on a team like Georgia to break Alabama’s two-win streak in the upcoming SEC Conference Championship Game could provide strong value, if the Bulldogs end up fielding another elite team.

Once the season progresses, Georgia’s odds may lower if the Bulldogs prove a formidable opponent, so backing the team preseason in NCAAF futures odds could lend itself to a nice payday, should Georgia eventually claim the SEC crown. 

Likewise, with the College Football Playoff, you can find futures odds on the 2022-23 NCAAF champion. Although Alabama lost in last year’s national championship tilt, the Crimson Tide have reached six of the last seven national championship games and are again the frontrunner to win the CFP trophy this season.

However, the Tide have won just three times in their six College Football Playoff  national championship appearances, so you may be better off looking for longer odds on another potential contender.

The Clemson Tigers at +1400 odds could make for an intriguing bet, considering the Tigers have appeared in the national championship game four times since 2015 and regularly rank as the top team in the ACC.

You can often find plus-money odds, even on the favorite, when you make a futures bet ahead of the season. Because it’s far more difficult to forecast an outcome that’s months away, futures odds tend to offer greater payout potential.
