Several other notable players have gone on to represent Notre Dame in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the most prominent being Joe Montana. Beyond that, Notre Dame is the setting of the beloved sports movie Rudy, which tells the real life story of an undersized walk-on who becomes a major part of the team through strength of will.
The Fighting Irish are led by Head Coach Brian Kelly, who enters his ninth season with the team. Having gone 10-3 SU and 8-5 ATS last season, the Fighting Irish open their season against Michigan in what is expected to be a wild home opener that could very well decide their 2018 college football fate.
