Monaco Grand Prix Betting Preview

Formula 1 heads to Monaco on Sunday, May 26, for the Monaco Grand Prix! Below is a breakdown of the top six betting choices.
Hamilton secured the pole for Sunday’s race. He finished third in this event last year. The Mercedes driver should have no trouble turning his form around at Monaco in 2019. He had the fastest first practice and second practice times on Friday. Unless Hamilton crashes, he should be considered a serious contender to win on May 26. Hamilton has also won four of six Formula 1 races this year.
Valtteri Bottas +210
Last year, Sebastian Vettel would have offered the second-lowest odds to win an F1 race. Heck, Vettel might have been the favorite.
Valtteri Bottas has had a much better year, though. Like Hamilton, Bottas drives for Mercedes. Hamilton has dominated so far in 2019, but Bottas isn’t too far behind him. Valtteri has taken two Formula 1 checkered flags this year. He finished fifth in Monaco last year, but that won’t have any bearing on how he races on Sunday. Bottas should be taken seriously to win the Monaco Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen +350
Verstappen finished fourth at the China Grand Prix and fourth at the Socar Azerbaijan GP. In the last race, the Spanish Grand Prix, Verstappen took third behind Bottas and Hamilton. The Red Bull driver has a chance on Sunday. His odds are low considering how dominant Bottas and Hamilton have been so far this year, though.
Sebastian Vettel +1800
Vettel finished second in last year's Monaco Grand Prix behind Daniel Ricciardo. Although he hasn’t won a race yet this year, he’s always worth a look. Vettel remains Ferrari’s top driver, even though Charles Leclerc is supposed to soon take over. Backing Vettel to get his first win of the year in Monaco might not be a bad idea.
Charles Leclerc +2200
Ferrari considers Leclerc the best up-and-coming Formula 1 driver in the world. Leclerc should start winning races for Ferrari; though, it’s not likely to happen on Sunday. Nothing against Leclerc, but, so far, Mercedes has taken Ferrari’s lunch. If any Ferrari driver steps it up, it’s likely to be Vettel, not Leclerc.
Pierre Gasly +2500
Gasly has gotten some support. He must pick it up after finishing sixth in Spain. He finished seventh in Monaco last year while driving for Scuderia Toro. He drives for Red Bull now, which means his chances of a better finish at the Monaco GP significantly rise.
