Philadelphia Phillies (79-75) at Washington Nationals (85-69), 7:05 p.m. ET

The Phillies' Zach Eflin (9-12, 4.00 ERA) and the Nationals' Patrick Corbin (13-7, 3.10 ERA) are poised to post some early zeroes on the Nationals Park scoreboard Monday night.

Eflin is 2-1, with a 1.50 ERA and .182 opponent batting average, in three starts against Washington this season. September has been his best month of the year, as he sports a 1.11 ERA through four efforts.
Corbin has been tough for opponents to solve at home this year, as he is 7-2, with a 2.00 ERA and .193 opponent batting average, in 14 starts. The upstate New York native has seen plenty of Phillies right fielder Bryce Harper and catcher J.T. Realmuto in the past and has handled them admirably. That pair is just 8-for-34 (.235) against Corbin all-time, with no home runs.

St. Louis Cardinals (89-67) at Arizona Diamondbacks (80-76), 9:40 p.m. ET

Under bettors have a chance to cash, as the Cardinals pay the Diamondbacks a visit at Chase Field on Monday night.

Alex Young (7-4, 3.27 ERA) owns a 1.80 ERA in September through four starts for Arizona. The rookie southpaw's WHIP in seven home starts is 1.239, a respectable number at a hitter's park. St. Louis is just 24th in batting average against lefties this season (.246), so they could struggle to plate runs in this one. The Cardinals' offense has been far from dynamic this month, ranking 20th in batting average (.235).
Adam Wainwright (13-9, 3.83 ERA) has fared poorly on the road this year, at 4-6 with a 6.04 ERA in 14 starts. However, he's 4-0 in September, with a 0.33 ERA in four outings. The Diamondbacks are a wanting 26th in batting average this month (.227).
