Los Angeles Angels (68-82) at New York Yankees (98-53), 6:35 p.m. ET

Luis Severino will make his 2019 debut for the Yankees against Jose Suarez (2-6, 6.94 ERA) and the Angels on Tuesday night. With L.A. in retreat, Severino should be able to get through five innings with his team in front.

Severino posted a 33-14 record and a 3.18 ERA in 63 starts over the last two seasons to cement himself as the ace of New York's staff. He has topped out at 98 mph on his fastball in three rehab starts and has struck out 11 with no walks. The Angels' punchless lineup (25th in batting average this month at .222), sans Mike Trout, is likely to struggle again.
Suarez has gone 13 starts without a win (0-5), and his ERA over his last seven outings is 8.70. Expect him to be sent to the showers early by a Bombers lineup that is second in OPS (.834) this season.

Philadelphia Phillies (76-72) at Atlanta Braves (93-58), 7:20 p.m. ET

Dallas Keuchel (8-5, 3.35 ERA) and the Braves should make light work of Vince Velasquez (6-7, 4.95 ERA) and the Phillies at SunTrust Park on Tuesday night.

Keuchel is 4-1 with a 2.10 ERA in eight starts at home this year. In two outings against Philadelphia this season, his opponent batting average is .174. The Phillies' offense is currently slumping at 17th in batting average this month (.237).

The Braves, 10-4 in September, typically tee off against Velasquez. First baseman Freddie Freeman, second baseman Ozzie Albies and outfielders Ronald Acuna Jr. and Nick Markakis are a combined 24-for-66 (.364) against the Phillies swingman, with three home runs and 15 RBIs. Velasquez owns a 6.19 ERA over his last seven starts and has gone past the sixth inning just once in that span.
