Dawodu and Trizano are two equally matched strikers that can be a factor at featherweight in the years to come. It’s likely that these two could produce the fight of the night, but Trizano might have the slightest of advantages despite coming in as an underdog. He’s the taller and more polished fighter.

Dawodu is the bigger striker

Dawodu is coming off a loss to Movsar Evloev, but he’s lucky he isn’t on a prolonged losing streak with three of his last four wins coming by split decision. One thing Dawodu has going for him is a pronounced advantage in power, with seven wins coming by stoppage.

The former Pan American Muay Thai champion may not be a technically refined fighter, but he’s a nightmare for anyone who can’t keep him away. Not only that, Dawodu has an iron chin and hasn’t been stopped in his professional fighting career.

Trizano will use his size and technique to score the upset

These two are in desperate need of a win to establish some legitimacy in the featherweight division, and Trizano has the tools to get it. Watching Evloev outstrike and take Dawodu down at will bodes well for Trizano. Trizano won The Ultimate Fighter as a lightweight, and he can be very strong on the ground.

Because both fighters are durable and can take thing a bit slow to start, this has the look of a distance fight. Trizano should be able to take whatever Dawodu gives him, hang tough and make things uncomfortable for him using his size and willingness to shoot for takedowns. Expect "The Lone Wolf" to outwork Dawodu, sealing the deal with a late takedown or two on his way to a decision win.
