Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 betting odds, preview, and value picks

The NASCAR Cup Series rolls into Atlanta Motor Speedway this Sunday for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 (3:00 p.m. ET, FOX).

The tepid betting favorite is Kevin Harvick at +550, who has dominated recent proceedings at this oval. The No. 4 Ford driver has won two of the last three Cup Series races at Atlanta while leading over 38% of all laps. However, he sits seventh in points through five races and has been held winless thus far in 2021.

There are three drivers who appear to be offering better value than Harvick in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. Let’s start digging into this event below.

Brad Keselowski (+750)

The No. 2 Ford has been a frequent presence at the front of the pack in recent races at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Brad Keselowski has placed in the Top 10 in each of his last six races over this course, taking the checkered flag in 2017 and 2019 while finishing second in 2018. He’s led at least a lap in five of those six heats.

Keselowski comes into Atlanta with three Top 5s to his credit over his last four starts. He’ll roll off the grid in fourth, by virtue of NASCAR’s performance-based metric.

Chase Elliott (+800)

It’s been a fine season for Hendrick Motorsports thus far, but defending Cup Series champion Chase Elliott has been held without a win. That could change at Atlanta on Sunday.

Elliott put together what was arguably his finest effort at his “hometown” track last June, tallying points in both stages and leading 26 laps en route to an eighth-place finish. It was his fourth career Top 10 at Atlanta in five tries.

Elliott missed the Top 10 in three straight races following a runner-up result at Daytona, but was fifth at Phoenix last week. He begins the afternoon in fifth place.

Joey Logano (+900)

Joey Logano has not fared quite as well as Penske teammate Keselowski at Atlanta of late, but he’s a logical contender at a decent price in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

Logano has an average finishing position of 9.63 in his last eight starts over this course. That includes a runner-up result here in 2013. He led 195 laps in that eight-race stretch.

In the last 40 NASCAR Cup Series races at intermediate tracks, Logano is fifth in average finishing position at 9.83 and has four victories. The No. 22 Ford driver has two second-place finishes through five races in 2021 but will try for the win on Sunday. He begins the day in third place.
