NASCAR futures Betting
Futures bets allow you to bet on outcomes down the road, including who will win the NASCAR Cup Series, and which driver will be named NASCAR Rookie of the Year. Future bets generally have a higher payout because there are so many unknowns. They also provide you a chance to hedge a bit as well, betting on multiple winners at solid returns. If you’re confident that someone will make a run late, it’s a great chance to get some excellent value on your hunch!
NASCAR Cup Series futures
Betting on which driver will win the championship is by far the most popular NASCAR futures market. The season is very long – 36 races to be exact – so NASCAR championship odds typically vary only slightly from week-to-week until the playoffs begin.
The playoffs feature 16 drivers going pedal-to-the-metal over 10 high-octane races. Drivers qualify for NASCAR's postseason by registering a win in one of the first 26 races of the season. After that it's all about skill and steely nerves!
The annual championship race, which will be held at Phoenix Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona in 2022, will offer only four drivers a chance to win the Bill France Cup (determined by best finishing position).
The Cup is named in honor of stock car racing pioneer Bill France Sr., who founded NASCAR in 1947, and his son, Bill France Jr., who served with distinction as NASCAR's CEO from 1972 to 2000. The two men worked tirelessly to turn the sport from a regional attraction into a global phenomenon.
