July 8th, 2021

Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns is a pivotal one, as Giannis Antetokounmpo & Co. will be looking to avoid falling into a 0-2 series hole.

Will Giannis regain his scoring prowess after being held to 20 points on Tuesday? Will Chris Paul have another massive game? Which players can we expect to come through for each side?

Game 2 tips off at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC, and we have the top three player prop picks below.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over/Under 26.5 points

"The Greek Freak" finished well below his scoring average in Game 1, and looked a little winded after missing the last two games of the Eastern Conference Finals.

However, his knee certainly did not seem to be an issue as his athleticism and leaping ability did not appear to be hindered. Giannis was 6-11 from the field and 7-12 from the free throw line. I expect to see some many more field goal attempts from him in Game 2.

This is a critical game for the Bucks, as only four teams have ever come back from an 0-2 deficit in NBA Finals history, and I believe we'll see a more scoring-minded Antetokounmpo. Give me the Over here.

Pick: Over 26.5 points (-113)

Chris Paul Over/Under 22.5 points

"CP3" has been absolutely lighting it up on the scoreboard over the last two games. He has averaged 36.5 points per game to go along with 8.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds. It has been a strange postseason for him as he started off the Lakers series averaging only 9.2 points per game on 9.5 field goal attempts.

However, since that series, Paul has averaged 25.6 points per game on 18.0 shot attempts. While I don't expect to see Paul go off for another 30+ point game here in Game 2, I do expect to see him surpass this surprisingly low projection given his recent scoring numbers. I will gladly ride the Over train with the "Point God" as the conductor.

Pick: Over 22.5 points (-106)

Deandre Ayton Over/Under 12.5 rebounds

Ayton has been a monster on the boards over the past four games. He has averaged 17.3 rebounds per game over that span, and has averaged 12.2 rebounds per game over the entire postseason.

Ayton is going to be the key rebounder in this series for the Suns. While they have guys like Jae Crowder, Devin Booker, and Mikal Bridges who can also hit the glass, none of them can compete with the rebounding prowess of the Bucks like Ayton can.

The combination of Ayton’s recent performances and the fact the Suns need him to be prominent in the paint against Giannis, Khris Middleton, and Brook Lopez leads me to take the Over. There will just be so much opportunity for him to hit this number.

Pick: Over 12.5 rebounds (-106)
