Mavericks vs. Clippers: The best player prop bets for Game 2

The Los Angeles Clippers didn't play the part of overwhelming favorites in their Game 1 defeat to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. Mavs guard Luka Doncic was clearly the best player on the court, and it's critical the Clippers find a way to slow him down if they're going to make this a competitive series.
As we head into Game 2 on Tuesday night, it's uncertain whether the Clippers’ strategy will be to take the ball out of Doncic's hands or force him to do even more to avoid victory at the hands of Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dorian Finney-Smith.
Rather than look at the spread or any Doncic props, let’s find three other betting options for Mavericks vs. Clippers.

Kawhi Leonard Over/Under 26.5 points
Despite being a little banged up, Kawhi Leonard showed in his dunk over Max Kleber that he is still more than physically capable of taking his game to the next level.
In Game 1, Leonard took 22 shots, but only amassed 26 points. At 1.18 points per shot, this is significantly lower than his season average of 1.42. He was only 1-6 from deep, and was never able to go on a scoring streak like he customarily does.
Look for Leonard to take over the game at multiple points, and lead the Clippers in scoring.
Pick: Over 26.5 points (-117)
Paul George Over/Under 7.5 rebounds
Paul George has had six rebounds, seven rebounds, and seven rebounds in his last three games against the Mavericks. He played 40 minutes in Game 1, and will almost certainly play that many again on Tuesday.
At 6’8”, George has all the athleticism and size to get more rebounds than he does, but often defers to teammates. Should George make a concerted effort to crash the boards in Game 2, he will easily haul in eight rebounds.
Pick: Over 7.5 rebounds (-109)
Ivica Zubac Over/Under 13.5 points, rebounds, and assists
Zubac was a non-entity in Game 1, contributing just eight points and two rebounds in close to 20 minutes. Although he failed to stuff the stat sheet, there's reason to believe he'll come back with a vengeance on Tuesday. After all, "Big Z" averaged 9.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 2020-21, and scored 14 points or more against the Mavs in two of his three meetings during the regular season. He was especially effective on March 15, when he went off for 15 points and 11 boards.
Zubac will never be the focal point of L.A.'s offense, but he should contribute enough on Tuesday to surpass 13.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists.
Pick: Over 13.5 points, rebounds, and assists (-113)
