Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans
The race for the top of the AFC South comes to a head on Sunday, as the 8-5 Texans square off with the 8-5 Titans in Tennessee.
Houston currently possesses the projected fourth seed in the AFC, but a loss to Tennessee will move the Titans into a wild-card spot and put the Texans’ chances of a postseason berth in jeopardy. The Texans have fallen in two of their last four games, including a 41-7 walloping by Baltimore in Week 11 and Sunday’s 38-24 home loss to Denver.
Rookie Drew Lock completed 22 of 27 passes for 309 yards and three scores against Houston’s defense, while Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson connected on just 28 of 50 passes and chucked up two interceptions. Receiver Keke Coutee also lost a fumble returned for a touchdown in the first quarter, as the Texans continued to dig a hole and entered halftime down 31-3.
Over in Oakland, the Titans blasted the Raiders 42-21 and scored their fourth straight win. Ryan Tannehill completed 21 of 27 passes for 391 yards, three touchdowns and tossed one interception, while Derrick Henry unleashed 103 yards on the ground and added a pair of touchdowns.

Running back Aaron Jones went off for 134 yards on 16 carries and scored once on the Redskins, who came within striking distance of Green Bay in the final two minutes of regulation. Bears QB Mitch Trubisky completed 26-of-45 passes back in Week 1 and racked up 228 yards through the air, plus one interception. In his last two games, the third-year signal-caller has registered an average passer rating of 116.8 and completed 75.2% of his passes. He’s also recorded seven total touchdowns in that time.
The Bears are five-point underdogs and are 0-4 against the spread in their last four road games. They’re also 2-5 ATS in the last seven versus the NFC and 5-13 ATS in the last 18 meetings with Green Bay.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys
The Los Angeles Rams are on the outside looking in at the postseason, and need a win over Dallas to sustain momentum. On Sunday evening, Los Angeles hosted the 10-3 Seattle Seahawks and caught their NFC West nemesis off guard in a 28-12 rout.
Jared Goff piled on 293 yards passing and notched two touchdowns, but the fourth-year QB got picked off twice, bringing his touchdown-to-interception ratio to 15:14 on the year.

On Sunday, the Rams get a 6-7 Cowboys squad that hasn’t defeated a team above .500 all season. On Thursday, Dallas succumbed to then-6-6 Chicago for its fourth defeat in five games and is just one game ahead of second-place Philly in the NFC East.
The Cowboys rank first in passing yards (306.8 YPG), 10th in rushing and seventh in passing defense, yet they can’t seem to figure out how to translate all that talent into victories.
Dallas is favored by one point at home and will meet Los Angeles for the first time since its 30-22 loss in the divisional round of the 2018 playoffs.
The Rams are 4-0 against the spread against teams with a losing record, and 4-1 ATS in their last five as a road underdog. The home team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings between the Rams and Cowboys, though Dallas is 1-7 ATS when facing a team with a winning record.

New York Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens
Thursday, December 12, 8:20 p.m. ET | M&T Bank StadiumThe New York Jets are eliminated from the postseason, but they can still shake up the AFC playoff picture with a victory over the Ravens on Thursday night.
The 5-8 Jets just barely got past the 3-10 Dolphins, as Sam Darnold went 20-of-36 for 270 yards, two TDs and one interception. Star running back Le’Veon Bell sat out with the flu, and safety Jamal Adams nursed a sprained ankle from the sideline. Tight end Ryan Griffin also left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury on the opening drive, while lineman Quinnen Williams and cornerback Kyron Brown fell victim to the injury bug in the second half.
Baltimore is a 15.5-point favorite at home and should get an easy outing against New York’s banged-up roster. The Ravens own the No. 1 rushing attack (200.9 yards per game) and the league’s No. 6 defense (314.6 opponent yards per game), and will encounter the No. 31 offense in the league (271.4 yards per game).

Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday, December 15, 8:20 p.m. ET | Heinz FieldThe Bills and Steelers enter Week 15 as the projected fifth and sixth seeds, respectively, in the AFC. At 8-5, Pittsburgh has lost just once since October 6 and currently rides a three-win streak. Buffalo, on the other hand, has dropped three games since Week 8, including Sunday’s 24-17 defeat by Baltimore.
The Bills boast the No. 3 defense in the league and held MVP front-runner Lamar Jackson to 40 yards rushing, the dual-threat quarterback’s lowest total since Week 3. The Ravens still gathered 118 yards on the ground, and Jackson passed for another 145 and three scores.
Buffalo never gained a lead on the Ravens and trailed by as much as 15 in the fourth quarter, before receiver Cole Beasley caught a three-yard pass to bring the score within seven points.
In the Steelers’ matchup with the Cardinals on Sunday, quarterback Devlin Hodges completed 16 of 19 passes for 152 yards and one touchdown in his third start of the season. The Pittsburgh rushing attack broke free for 140 yards, including 41 each from 2019 seventh-round draft pick Kerrith Whyte and Benny Snell Jr., plus another 34 from Hodges.
Undrafted QB Devlin Hodges out of Samford has beat two first overall pick QBs Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray in back-to-back games ... Incredible. #Steelers
— Blitzburgh ? (@SteelBlitzburgh) December 9, 2019
The Steelers’ fifth-ranked defense also held the Cardinals to 265 yards of total offense.
Both Buffalo and Pittsburgh depend on stingy defenses but aren’t quite as intimidating on the other side of the field. The Steelers generate 290.1 yards of offense per game (28th in the league), while Buffalo averages 341.9 yards, good for 20th in the NFL.
The Steelers are slight 1.5-point home favorites in Sunday night’s matchup and have beaten the Bills the previous two times these franchises played one another.
Pittsburgh is 5-1 against the spread in its last six games overall and 6-2 ATS in the last eight versus the AFC. The Bills are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six overall but 1-5 ATS in their previous six meetings with Pittsburgh.

Indianapolis Colts vs. New Orleans Saints
Monday, December 16, 8:15 p.m. ET | Mercedes Benz SuperdomeHopes of a playoff berth are fading fast for the Indianapolis Colts after the team suffered its third straight loss on Sunday. In a 38-35 shootout with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Colts secondary gave up 474 passing yards and four touchdowns to turnover-prone Jameis Winston and allowed the Bucs to surge back from a 14-point deficit in the third quarter.
Indy has now lost five of its last six games and must face the Saints, Panthers and Jaguars to close out the season. If the Colts had issues against the Bucs, they should experience even more trouble against the NFC South-leading Saints on Monday.
New Orleans entered its Week 14 contest grasping the No. 1 seed in the playoffs but surrendered the top spot to its previous owner, San Francisco, on Sunday. The Niners sank a 30-yard field goal to cap a 48-46 victory as time expired and sent the Saints tumbling down to the third seed in the NFC.

The Saints are favored by eight points at home and rank inside the top 15 in both offense and defense. The Colts have struggled in the passing game and average just 207.7 yards per contest (25th in the league), but put up the sixth-most yards per game on the ground.
The Saints feature the No. 5 rushing defense in the NFL and permit 94.2 rushing yards per game. New Orleans is 4-1 against the spread against a team with a losing record and 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games overall.
The Colts are 11-2 ATS when playing a team with a winning record and 6-2-2 ATS in the last 10 road games.

Get to Know Danielle Hunter
Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter made history on Sunday when he became the youngest player in NFL history to rack up 50 career sacks. Here are three things you should know about the 25-year-old phenom:
- Hunter was "discovered" by a youth football coach at the age of nine when he spotted the speedster chasing down his best friend, who was on roller skates at the time.
- Hunter was a menace on both sides of the ball at Morton Ranch High School in Katy, Texas. During his senior season he recorded 30 quarterback pressures, 11 tackles for losses and four sacks and he caught four passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.
- Hunter made quite an impression at the 2015 NFL Combine, where he ran the 40-yard dash in a blistering 4.57 seconds.

Three and Out
Redskins RB Adrian Peterson further cemented his legacy on Sunday by becoming just the sixth player in NFL history to amass 14,000 rushing yards. Here are three more rushing milestones we could see before the year is up:
- Ravens RB Mark Ingram is 106 yards away from 7,000 career rushing yards
- Jets RB Le’Veon Bell is just 75 yards away from 6,000 career rushing yards
- Bills RB Frank Gore is just one TD away from 80 career rushing touchdowns
