Since Tom Brady joined the league in 2000, he has appeared in half of the Super Bowls to date.

The longtime New England Patriots legend and current quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers most recently won a championship during the 2020 season, and is a prime contender to defend his title with Tampa Bay in Super Bowl LVI on Feb. 13, 2022.

The 44-year-old icon has broken a host of records throughout his 22-year tenure in the league, and is on his way to setting more during the 2021 season.

The number of accolades and milestones he has achieved throughout his career, both in the regular season and postseason, could fill an entire encyclopedia. And in the biggest game of them all, Brady's résumé is second to none.

Let's look back at his unprecedented success on football's favorite Sunday, as we examine 15 Super Bowl records held by Brady.

15. Most Super Bowl titles (7)

Brady won his first NFL championship in Super Bowl XXXVI following the 2001 season, his second year in the league and first as a starter.

With New England and head coach Bill Belichick, Brady collected six titles in nine Super Bowl appearances (from 2001 to 2018), and earned one ring with the Buccaneers in 2020, his first season with the NFC South team and 21st year in the league.

Brady's seven Super Bowl victories are the most of any one player, and two more than the next closest individual, linebacker Charles Haley. Brady also has more titles than any one NFL franchise. The Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers boast six titles each.

14. Most Super Bowl appearances (10)

Of Brady's 10 Super Bowl appearances, his three losses came to the New York Giants (twice) and the Philadelphia Eagles.

In Super Bowl XLII during the 2007 season, Eli Manning and his 10-6 Giants beat Brady & Co. in a 17-14 thriller and prevented the then-undefeated Patriots from reaching immortal status with a perfect 17-0 season.

13. Most Super Bowl MVPs (5)

While Brady doesn't own the record for most league MVP awards (Peyton Manning does, with five), he does have more Super Bowl MVPs than any other player.

Brady won his first in February 2002, after he spearheaded a game-winning drive against the heavily favored St. Louis Rams, and received the honor most recently in 2020. With his latest MVP win, he became the oldest player (43 years, six months, and five days) to attain the accolade.

He also became the oldest player from the AFC to win Super Bowl MVP at 39 years, six months, and two days, when he defeated Atlanta in Super Bowl LI.

The two times Brady did not earn MVP after winning a Super Bowl was in Super Bowl XXXIX against the Eagles (wideout Deion Branch won), and Super Bowl LIII (2018 season), in which receiver Julian Edelman was named the recipient.

12. Most Super Bowl touchdown passes (21)

Throughout the 10 Super Bowls Brady has played in, he has thrown a record 21 touchdown passes.

His single-game high for passing touchdowns in a Super Bowl is four, which he accomplished in New England's 28-24 win against Seattle in Super Bowl XLIX in 2014.

The Patriots' 13-3 win in Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams was the only Super Bowl in which Brady failed to record a touchdown.

11. Most three-plus passing touchdown games (4)

Brady has thrown for three or more touchdowns in four NFL championship games — the aforementioned Super Bowl XLIX, Super Bowl XXXVIII against Carolina, Super Bowl LII against Philadelphia, and Super Bowl LV against Kansas City in 2020.

10. Most Super Bowl passing yards (3,039)

Brady has also passed for more yards than any other quarterback in the Super Bowl, with an average of 303.9 yards per game.

His lowest passing total was 145 yards, which he tallied in his first Super Bowl appearance in 2001.

His second lowest passing total came in Super Bowl LV in 2020.

9. Most 300-yard games (4)

Four times Brady has passed for 300 or more yards in a Super Bowl — against Carolina, Seattle, Atlanta, and Philadelphia (2017).

All but one of those games resulted in a win for Brady's team.

8. Most passing yards in a Super Bowl game (505)

Brady's highest passing total in a Super Bowl is the single-game record. In Super Bowl LII, he went 28-of-48 passing for 505 yards, but ultimately fell, 41-33, to the Eagles.

7. Most Super Bowl completions (277)

Brady has completed a record 277 passes across his 10 Super Bowl appearances.

He also holds the record for most passes completed in the first half of a Super Bowl (20 in Super Bowl XLIX versus the Seahawks) and has the record for most consecutive completions in a single Super Bowl (16 against the Giants in 2011).

6. Most pass completions in a Super Bowl game (43)

Brady's highest single-game completion total (43) came in one of his most unforgettable come-from-behind victories, in Super Bowl LI.

More than 30 records were either broken or tied in that game, including one Brady would like to forget. On one of the passes he failed to complete, Brady was intercepted by former Falcons cornerback Robert Alford, who returned the ball 82 yards for a touchdown. With that turnover, Brady became the first quarterback to win a Super Bowl after throwing a pass that was intercepted for a touchdown.

5. Most Super Bowl pass attempts (421)

Luckily for Brady, he hasn't been picked off many times in the Super Bowl, despite attempting a record number of passes (421).

In fact, Brady set a record for most pass attempts without an interception in a single Super Bowl (48) against the Giants in 2007, and tied that record against the Eagles in Super Bowl LII.

4. Most pass attempts in a Super Bowl game (62)

In the same game Brady set the record for most completions, he also set a record for most pass attempts (62) in Super Bowl LI.

3. Most Super Bowl game-winning drives (6)

Another reason Super Bowl LI was special — it marked one of Brady's record six game-winning drives in the big game.

The other five occurred against the Rams (both in 2001 and 2018), Panthers, Eagles (2004), and Seahawks.

2. Most decades with a Super Bowl win (3)

With so many appearances in the big game, it's no wonder Brady has played in and won a Super Bowl in three different decades.

He's the only player that can lay claim to such a feat.

1. Oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl (43 years, six months, and five days)

His most recent Super Bowl appearance occurred in the start of a new decade, at the end of the 2020 season.

With his victory over Kansas City in Super Bowl LV, Brady not only became the oldest quarterback to start a Super Bowl, but also the oldest to win one.

He previously set the record for oldest starting quarterback, at 41 years, six months, when he played in Super Bowl LIII, which also gave Brady the record for oldest quarterback from the AFC to start or win a Super Bowl.
