Baker Mayfield's record against every NFL team
*This article has since been updated to reflect Mayfield's record against each NFL team as of Jan. 4, 2022.
There may be no quarterback more polarizing in the NFL than Cleveland Browns signal caller Baker Mayfield.
The former Heisman Trophy winner — and first walk-on true freshman quarterback to start a FBS season opener — has made a name for himself, with his explosive play on the field and his occasional trouble away from it.
Mayfield's four-year tenure with Cleveland has been as erratic as his past behavior, but last season, he took a leap in maturity and brought renewed success to a futile Browns franchise.
The 2018 No. 1 overall draft pick enjoyed the best season of his young career and guided Cleveland to an 11-5 record and its first playoff win in 26 years.
In 2021, the 25-year-old will attempt to bring even more glory to Cleveland, with second-year coach Kevin Stefanski. Let's dive into Mayfield's professional football career and break down his regular-season and postseason records against every NFL team.
Mayfield vs. the Baltimore Ravens
Mayfield earned his first win as a starter in a Week 5 matchup with Baltimore in 2018.
In the 12-9 overtime victory, Mayfield threw for 342 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
In a rematch during Week 17 of his rookie season, Mayfield passed for 376 yards and three scores but was intercepted three times. His third interception occurred with 1:02 remaining, as Mayfield attempted to drive Cleveland into field-goal range for a game-winning kick.
The loss brought Cleveland's 2018 record to 7-8-1, the franchise's best mark since 2007.
Mayfield also broke Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson's record for most touchdown passes in a rookie season, with 27. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert set a new rookie record (31 touchdowns) in 2020.

Mayfield vs. the Cincinnati Bengals
In seven games, Mayfield's only loss to Cincinnati came in Week 17 of the 2019 season.
Also significant about that matchup was the fact Mayfield became the first Browns quarterback to start all 16 games in a season since Tim Couch in 2001.
The following year, Mayfield threw a career-high five touchdown passes against the Bengals in a Week 7 contest. One of those went to Donovan Peoples-Jones with 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter, which gave Cleveland a 37-34 win and Mayfield his seventh game-winning drive.

Mayfield has racked up more touchdown passes (19) against Cincinnati than any other team.
Mayfield vs. the New York Jets
In Week 3 of the 2018 season, Mayfield saw his first NFL action, when he replaced an injured Tyrod Taylor. Down 14-0 to the Jets, the rookie stepped in and completed 17 of his 23 passes for 201 yards to lead Cleveland to a 21–17 victory.
The win snapped a 19-game losing streak, which spanned 635 days, for the Browns.

Mayfield vs. the Los Angeles Raiders
Mayfield got his first start in a 45-42 overtime loss to the Raiders.
In that game, he became the 30th quarterback to start a game for the Browns since the franchise returned to the NFL in 1999.
Mayfield vs. the Tennessee Titans
Coming off the reserve/COVID-19 list for a Week 13 matchup with Tennessee, Mayfield completed 25 of his 33 passes for 334 yards and four touchdowns, all of which came in the first half.
The feat made Mayfield the first Browns quarterback to record four touchdown passes in one half since Hall of Famer Otto Graham did so in 1951.
Cleveland defeated Tennessee, 41–35, to give the Browns their first winning record since 2007.
Mayfield vs. the Kansas City Chiefs
In the Divisional Round of the 2020 playoffs, Mayfield met Patrick Mahomes and defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City.
Down 22–17, with nearly four minutes remaining, Cleveland punted and never got the ball back for a chance to win.
Mayfield finished the game with 204 passing yards, one touchdown, and an interception.
Mayfield vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers
Mayfield's first win against Pittsburgh was in a battle with backup quarterback Mason Rudolph, whom Mayfield competed against in the Big 12.
In a Week 11 win in 2019, Cleveland triumphed, 21-7, but ended the game on a down note, when Rudolph and Browns defensive end Myles Garrett got into an infamous scuffle.
Mayfield again defeated Rudolph in a Week 17 matchup with Pittsburgh in 2020. With the Steelers guaranteed a Wild Card spot in the postseason, the team rested its starters, which left room for Cleveland to eke out a 24-22 victory.
In other news; my Cleveland Browns just set a record for points scored in 1st quarter of a playoff game. There is hope for our country. @Browns pic.twitter.com/rGKReuv7E9

The Browns finished the 2020 season at 11-5 and earned their first playoff berth since 2002.
In the Wild Card Round, Cleveland confronted Pittsburgh for the third time that season. This time, Mayfield got to square up with Ben Roethlisberger, who owned an unbeaten (2-0) record against Mayfield.
Much to everyone's surprise, Cleveland came out firing and handed the Steelers a 48–37 defeat, which was far more lopsided than the final score indicates.
Mayfield completed 21 of his 34 passes, for 263 yards and three touchdowns, to lead Cleveland to its first playoff victory since the 1994 season.
