Standing in for injured rookie Zach Wilson, White spearheaded an offensive explosion that led to a surprising, 34-31 come-from-behind win against the 5-3 Cincinnati Bengals at home.

White completed 82% of his passes for 405 yards, threw three touchdown passes, and caught a crucial two-point conversion pass to put his team up by a field goal with under four minutes to play.

Running back Michael Carter Jr. also enjoyed a career day, with 77 rushing yards, 95 receiving yards, and a score.

The Jets will carry that momentum into a primetime showdown with a 3-5 Colts team that lost a hard-fought battle with division rival Tennessee on Sunday.

Running back Jonathan Taylor posted 122 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in the 34-31 overtime defeat.

Carson Wentz racked up 231 passing yards and three touchdowns, but coughed up two costly interceptions that ultimately led to Indy's demise.

The Colts have a chance to correct their mistakes against a second-rate Jets team.

Let's see how the public is betting the moneyline, point spread, totals, and more at TwinSpires Sports ahead of Week 9's Thursday Night Football contest.

Bettors are bullish on the home team to pull off a victory, even if Indy (-530) has just one more win than its opponent.

The Colts possess a ton of talent, but have been plagued by injuries all season.

New York has been a wasteland for quite some time, yet White might provide his team a slight boost, as the Jets prepare for their lone primetime matchup of the season.

The Colts most recently beat the Jets 36-7 in Indianapolis in 2020, but have only won two of their last six head-to-head matchups.

Nonetheless, Indianapolis is superior to New York in almost every major statistical category and should have little issue in securing a win in front of its home crowd.

The public is evenly split on which team will cover the large 10.5-point spread, based on number of tickets placed at TwinSpires Sports.

However, 80% of all handle is backing the Colts as a 10.5-point favorite.

Indianapolis is 5-3 against the spread this season and 3-1 ATS following a loss.

The Jets, on the other hand, are 2-5 ATS in 2021 and 0-3 ATS on the road.

Bettors are divided on whether the final score will top 46 points.

Over 55% of tickets favor the Over, while 64% of handle is on the Under.

The Over has hit in all four of New York's last four games and seven of the last 10 meetings between these teams.

The Colts average 25 points per game and allow 22.9 points per contest, while the Jets average 16.3 points on offense and surrender 29.4 on defense.

Most popular prop bet: Carson Wentz Over 1.5 touchdown passes

For prop bettors, the most common wager placed ahead of Thursday's battle is on Wentz to throw for two or more touchdowns (-132).

The veteran QB recorded his fifth straight multiple-touchdown outing in Week 8 and will face a Jets defense that gave up two or more touchdown passes in the past three games.

The Jets currently rank 27th in opponent passing yards per game (275.3) and have allowed 2.7 touchdown passes over their past three outings.

Wentz has passed for fewer than two touchdowns just twice this season, against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 and the Titans in Week 3, while he played on two sprained ankles.
