*This article has since been updated to reflect Murray's record against each NFL team as of Jan. 17, 2022.

In the second season of his NFL career, former No. 1 overall draft pick Kyler Murray guided the Arizona Cardinals to an 8-8 record and barely missed out on the final playoff spot in the NFC.

The Heisman Trophy winner out of Oklahoma has already turned the tide of the Cardinals franchise, which suffered a 3-13 record the year before he was drafted.

The dual-threat QB — who is also a dual-sport star in baseball — set a number of rookie franchise records, earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, and saw a leap in production last season with the addition of standout wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

In 2020, the Cardinals finished third in the competitive NFC West, but lead the division, and are the lone undefeated team in the league, through the first five games of the 2021 season.

With Murray's third year of his professional career in full swing, let's examine Murray's regular-season record against every NFL team.

Murray vs. the Buffalo Bills

Murray's most famous game to date occurred against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10 of the 2020 season.

In a thrilling back-and-forth battle, he tallied 245 passing yards, one passing touchdown, and one interception, along with 61 rushing yards and two rushing scores, in a 32-30 victory.

The most memorable touchdown came in the final seconds, as the Cardinals trailed the Bills, 30-26.

From the Buffalo 43-yard line, Murray scrambled out of the pocket and launched a deep pass to Hopkins, who overpowered three Bills defenders to pull the ball down in the end zone.

Known as the "Hail Murray," the play gave Arizona the win and briefly placed it in a tie for the lead in the NFC West.

Murray vs. the Detroit Lions

Murray's first NFL start came against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 8, 2019.

Down 24-6 at the start of the final quarter, Murray led his team on a comeback to force overtime, and the game finished in a 27-27 tie.

In his second meeting with Detroit, the Lions halted Arizona's hot start to the 2020 season, as Matt Prater kicked a game-winning field goal at the end of regulation to give the Lions a 26-23 victory.

Murray vs. the Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are the only NFC West opponent Murray has yet to defeat.

He has recorded more interceptions (six) against LA than against any of his other division foes.

Murray vs. the Miami Dolphins

In a 34-31 home loss to Miami in 2020, Murray achieved his highest completion percentage (80.77%), rushing yards total (106), and best passer rating (150.5). He also tied his career high for touchdown passes (three).

Murray vs. the Philadelphia Eagles

Murray accomplished his career high in passing yards (406) in a Week 15 matchup with Philadelphia last season.

He also added three touchdown passes and a rushing score in the 33-26 win, which earned him NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Murray vs. the San Francisco 49ers

Murray's first win against San Francisco came in Week 1 of the 2020 season, when he threw for 230 yards, one touchdown, and an interception. He also ran for 91 yards and a touchdown in the 24-20 victory.

In five matchups against the Niners, Murray has tallied 1,107 yards on 67.4% passing, 268 rushing yards, eight total touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Murray vs. the Seattle Seahawks

Murray is 2-3 against the Seattle Seahawks and quarterback Russell Wilson, whom Murray has often been compared to, because of his similar stature and style of play.

Murray's most notable win happened on Sunday Night Football in Week 7 of 2020, when Arizona ended Seattle's undefeated start to the season.

In the 37-34 overtime victory, Murray completed 34 of 48 passes for 360 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He also rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown.

He was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time that season. He also received the award for his Week 5 performance against the Jets and his Week 15 outing against the Eagles.

He is the only Cardinals player to win Offensive Player of the Week three times in one season.
