NFL Notebook: What's Happening With Odell Beckham Jr.?
Week 9 of the 2021 National Football League season kicked off with a Thursday night shootout. The Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets have had their struggles early in the season, but they came together to score a lot of points, and that tops this week’s NFL Notebook.
Colts Cruise, 45-30
Indianapolis has scrapped its way back to 4-5 after an 0-3 start, and the outcome of this one was never in doubt. The Colts jumped out to a 28-10 lead at halftime, and a 78-yard touchdown run from Jonathan Taylor in the third quarter gave Indy a 42-10 lead.

The Jets did find the end zone three times in the last 18 minutes of play, and that happened with yet another quarterback under center, as Mike White left the game early due to a forearm injury.
The Aaron Rodgers Situation
We’ll try to avoid speculation when it comes to this. Here’s what we know: Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week. Prior to the season, he said he was "immunized" from the virus, but as it turns out, he was not technically vaccinated.

As a result, he’ll miss Sunday’s tilt against the Kansas City Chiefs. Backup Jordan Love will be under center, and he’s thrown just seven passes to this point in his young NFL career.
What’s Happening With OBJ?
Another star is dealing with a troublesome situation in Cleveland. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has missed several practices this week, and by all accounts, he may have played his last game in a Browns uniform. Beckham’s father posted a video to Instagram that was critical of quarterback Baker Mayfield. Unfortunately for the Browns, the NFL’s trade deadline came and went Tuesday, so finding a solution to this problem could prove tricky.

Dak Is Back
We’ll close with some good news (for Dallas Cowboys fans, at least!). Quarterback Dak Prescott, who did not play Sunday night against the Vikings, will be back under center for this weekend’s clash with the Denver Broncos.

Prescott suffered a calf strain on a game-winning touchdown pass against the Patriots a few weeks ago, but he’s been practicing this week, and all systems appear go.
