Hurricanes vs. Lightning: The best player prop bets for March 29
Two of the major players for the Stanley Cup in the Eastern Conference – the Carolina Hurricanes and the Tampa Bay Lightning – will square off at Amalie Arena for the final time this season on Tuesday night.
The Hurricanes have taken each of the first two meetings, prevailing 2-1 in overtime as the visitors on Nov. 9, and winning 3-2 at home on March 22. They’ve won two in a row on the road entering this tilt, beating the Blues 7-2 on Saturday, and the Capitals 6-1 on Monday. Meanwhile, the Lighting have also taken each of their last two road contests, and return home after a day of rest.
Let’s dive into a lively player props market and highlight our three top selections for this contest.

Sebastian Aho to score at least one point
Prop players are getting very generous odds on Sebastian Aho – arguably Carolina’s most consistent player – to find the scoresheet at any time in this one.
Aho has notched at least one point in 16 of his last 20 games, accumulating eight goals and eight assists in that span. That includes his game-clinching tally against the Bolts on March 22.

Three of those goals and six of those assists occurred on the power play. Tampa is 10th in penalty kill percentage this season (81.6%), but the Hurricanes’ man-advantage unit can hold their own with just about anyone, as they’re sixth in power play percentage (24.5%) this year.
Whether it happens at even strength or not, Aho should register at least one point in this spot.
NHL pick: Yes (-177)
Brayden Point goal scorer
March has been a quiet month for Brayden Point in terms of goal scoring, but perhaps it was due to an abundance of road games on the schedule. Returning to Amalie Arena could help restore his scoring touch on Tuesday night.

Point has amassed 15 goals over 23 home games this season, scoring in four of his last five tilts in Tampa. The odds being offered on Point to find the twine in this one are fair.
NHL pick: Point anytime goal (+160)
Steven Stamkos to score at least one point
This looks like another point prop with fair odds, as Steven Stamkos is more than capable of finding the scoresheet on any given night.

Stamkos has pointed in three straight contests, accumulating two goals and two assists. He returns home here, where he has gathered 27 points over 29 games this season.
The Lightning captain has already scored a goal against the Hurricanes this year. He could easily add another, or at least grab one assist.
NHL pick: Yes (-190)
