The Carolina Hurricanes will attempt to extend their current winning streak to six games when they take on the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday night. The Red Wings, meanwhile, are reeling from a wild 10-7 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, and have dropped three of their last four overall.

Let’s take a look at the assortment of available player prop wagers for this contest and make our three most confident selections.

Teuvo Teravainen goal scorer

Teuvo Teravainen may be only the fourth-leading goal-scorer on his team (15), but he has a hot stick right now. Teravainen looks like a good bet to find the twine once more, and at a solid price to boot.

Teravainen has exactly one goal in each of his last three games, and has taken nine shots on goal in that span. He has a goal and an assist on the power play over his last three outings, so he’s getting enough ice time on a potent Hurricanes man-advantage unit (fifth in the NHL at 25.2%).

The Red Wings rank 25th in penalty kill % (76.4%), so don’t be surprised if Teravainen tallies another power play goal on Tuesday.

NHL pick: Teravainen anytime goal (+240)

To score most points: Andrei Svechnikov v. Tyler Bertuzzi

Both Andrei Svechnikov and Tyler Bertuzzi are on pace for career years, with the former accumulating 50 points through 49 games, and the latter gathering 44 points over 45 contests. But based on the way they’ve been playing lately, Svechnikov is likely to outperform Bertuzzi in his own building this Tuesday.

Svechnikov has six goals and six assists over his last nine games, with three points – all assists – in his last three overall. Meanwhile, Bertuzzi has been blanked in three straight tilts, including Saturday’s 10-7 loss to Toronto in which he recorded a -4 rating.

NHL pick: Svechnikov (-155)

Dylan Larkin to score at least one point

This pick isn’t too clever, but it should cash nonetheless. Dylan Larkin is the best player Detroit has, and he should lead by example by recording at least one point against Carolina.

Larkin has three goals and eight assists over his last six games, and did not fail to find the scoresheet in any of those contests. He has a nine-game home point-scoring streak going as well.

The Red Wings may not win this one, but Larkin shouldn’t go down quietly.

NHL pick: Yes (-215)
