FA Cup Fourth Round: The best player prop bets for Toney, Maddison, and Kane

It’s the fourth round of the FA Cup, and 32 teams will be narrowed down to just 16. The clubs that prevail this weekend will be just three games from a date at Wembley Stadium for the final, and will be a step closer to lifting the famous trophy.

With some huge games on the slate and the majority of top Premier League clubs remaining, here are the best three player props in the cup.

Everton vs. Brentford: Ivan Toney to score a goal (+235)

Brentford’s first season in the Premier League has somewhat derailed, although an FA Cup run would provide the perfect distraction. After losing just one of their first seven league matches, they’re now on a run that has seen them lose six of the last seven. A fourth round FA Cup meeting with manager-less Everton could be the perfect tonic.

The Toffees are in disarray and have Duncan Ferguson in temporary charge after sacking Rafa Benitez. Everton needed extra time to see off Hull in round three, while Brentford rotated several key players and still comfortably beat Port Vale 4-1.

The Bees should be back up to full strength for a trip to Goodison Park after the winter break, and that should mean the inclusion of controversial striker Ivan Toney, who was filmed over the break shouting an obscenity directed at Brentford in a clip that inevitably went viral. The star has since apologized for his outburst.

He has seven goals in 23 games this season and has scored in his last two games, making him Brentford’s most dangerous asset. He averages 2.4 shots per game and now comes up against an Everton team with one clean sheet in their last 15 games. Toney scored the only goal of the game when Brentford beat Everton 1-0 in the league in November and is good value to find the net again.

Tottenham vs. Brighton: Harry Kane to score a goal (+118)

Tottenham were almost stunned by Morecambe in the FA Cup third round, but Harry Kane came off the bench and found the net to help Spurs avoid an upset and win 3-1. Now Antonio Conte is likely to play a full-strength side in an all-Premier League clash with Brighton.

Kane returns from the winter break having scored five goals in his last 10 games for Tottenham, and has a stellar record against the Seagulls. The England captain has played Brighton nine times for Spurs and scored in five of those matches.

Son Heung-Min is reportedly back in training and in line to start for Tottenham, which will only help their offense, and Kane will be itching to get back on the field. He signed off before the winter break with four goals in six league games and a conversion rate of 13.8%.

It’s been more than 30 years since Tottenham lifted the FA Cup, and they haven’t made it back to the final in that spell either. Conte will be desperate to right that — he is an FA Cup winning manager after all — and Kane can help fire Spurs into the fifth round.

Nottingham Forest vs. Leicester: James Maddison to score a goal (+300)

Since the end of November, James Maddison has been transformed. In 17 games in all competitions before then, he scored just one goal. In the 12 games since, he has scored in eight of them!

Whatever they’ve put in the water at Leicester it’s certainly working, and Maddison was one of four Leicester players to find the net in the last round of the cup, as they beat Watford 4-1. Now they are on the road but have a favorable tie against lower league Nottingham Forest.

Maddison’s conversion rate over the last eight games in the Premier League is up to 17.9%, and he has scored five goals in that spell. Now he faces a Forest team that stunned Arsenal in the third round, but who have conceded in 72% of their Championship matches this season — the worst record of all the teams in the top half.

Finding the back of the net has not been a problem for Leicester, who have 31 goals in their last 12 games, an average of 2.6 goals a game. Maddison has been a key contributor in that run and is well worth a bet at +300 to keep that streak going.
