Lewandowski comfortably atop Bundesliga top goalscorer odds
With Bayern Munich closing in on the Bundesliga championship, their prized striker Robert Lewandowski is also on the verge of winning the league’s scoring title.
The race has ultimately been narrowed down to two players, including Lewandowski and RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, but the former is the overwhelming favorite to lead the league in goals when the season ends in a few weeks.

Lewandowski has been nearly unstoppable
Lewandowski has scored a whopping 30 goals for Bayern Munich in Bundesliga competitions this year, and the two-month hiatus of the season caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has had no adverse effect on his timing.
Since the season resumed last month, Lewandowski has maintained his place as the Bundesliga’s top scorer with five goals in five league competitions. His previous Bundesliga single-season career best for goals scored was 30, a feat he has twice accomplished, and he could surpass in the coming matches.
Lewandowski will sit out Saturday's match
He will, however, be unavailable for Saturday’s highly anticipated match against fourth-place Monchengladbach due to yellow card accumulation. Bayern Munich has a chance to wrap up the league title with a win Saturday and a Borussia Dortmund loss, but it won't be easy without both Lewandowski and Thomas Muller.

Werner will need a miracle to catch up
So late in the season, there is really only one player with any chance – albeit a very small one – to catch Lewandowski in the scoring race. And it would take nothing short of a miracle for Werner to catch and pull ahead of him.
Werner has four goals in five matches for RB Leipzig since the Bundesliga returned. When he scores, he seems to do so in bunches. He has recorded a hat trick on three different occasions this season, most recently against Mainz at the end of May.
It would likely take at least one more similarly special performance from Werner combined with a sudden season-ending drought from Lewandowski to turn this scoring race on its head, and that is definitely reflected in the odds.
