Road To Victory had no problem switching to dirt, stretching out, and stepping up in class when winning the Golden Rod Stakes in just her second career start after winning sprinting on turf at Woodbine. The Quality Road filly upset the previously undefeated Monomoy Girl in taking the Golden Rod. Jessie Oswald talked with jockey Julien Leparoux and assistant (for now) trainer Norm Casse (son of trainer Mark Casse) following the victory at Churchill Downs. TURF TALK: 2018 Kentucky Derby Works Edition, episode 1

Gary Young has been more traveled in the past week than Kentucky Derby favorite Justify has been in his whole career to date. The Southern California-based clocker arrived in Louisville Thursday night after buying horses in Ocala, Florida, earlier in the week and was ready to roll Friday morning. It's a good thing he fires fresh off the plane, too, because a flurry of activity greeted the veteran observer led by the Todd Pletcher quartet of undefeated Arkansas Derby winner Magnum Moon, Florida Derby winner Audible, Wood Memorial Stakes winner Vino Rosso, and TwinSpires.com Louisiana Derby winner Noble Indy (after the break). Young also touches on Lone Sailor's early morning breeze and Wonder Gadot's preparation for the Kentucky Oaks. For Kentucky Derby handicapping reports, CLICK HERE: http://www.brisnet.com/derby
