Another week at Del Mar, and another riveting stretch battle between two Grade 1 winners, as champions Beholder and Stellar Wind provided a worthy encore to Horse of the Year California Chrome and multiple Grade 1 winner Dortmund with Stellar Wind upsetting Beholder a week after California Chrome out-dueled Dortmund. Victor Espinoza rode both winners while Gary Stevens was on the runner-up each time.
